  • Pauls Avenue: will be closed from 8-00am to 11-00am for loop cutting works
  • Little Cross Street: will be closed from 10-30am Sunday morning until 11-00pm Monday night for food festival

Monday 9th September 2013

  • York Street:will be closed from 9-30am to 4-30pm for slit trench works (IGSL)
  • Lower Grattan Hill: will be closed from 9-30am to 4-30pm for slit trench works (IGSL)
  • Homecoming of Cork Hurling Team: Major diversions will be in place this evening from 3-00pm to 10-30pm to facilitate the homecoming of the Cork hurling team. A number of city Centre Street will be affected. Parnell Bridge, Parnell Place, South Mall and Clontarf Street. The Park&Ride will operate from Mick Barry Road until 10-30pm free of charge. The city Terminus will be at Anglesea Street

Tuesday 10th September 2013

  • Possible delays: on Old Youghal Road (Audley Place) from 9-30am to 4-30pm for slit trench works (IGSL)
  • Possible delays: on Brian Boru Bridge /Anderson’s Quay from 9-30am to facilitate works on the Parnell Place Renewal Project. (McGinty&O’Shea)
  • Upper Cattle Market Street: will be closed from 9-30am to 1-30pm Tuesday and Wednesday (Parks Dept C.C.C.)
  • Possible delays: on Penrose Quay from 7-30pm to 6-00am for water repairs

Wednesday 11th September 2013

  • Possible delays: on Albert Quay from 7-30pm to 11-00pm for water repairs

  • Possible delays: on Parnell Place to facilitate Renewal project (McGinty&O’Shea)
  • Possible delays: on Western Road/Lancaster Quay to facilitate works on the UCC to City Centre Cycle Route (McGinty&O’Shea)

New lower speed limit of 30 kph

The Cork City Road Traffic (Special Speed Limits at Specified Schools) Bye Laws 2011 introduce a new lower speed limit of 30 kph on the approaches to the following schools:

  • Sunday’s Well Boys Primary School , Blarney Road.
  • Scoil Barra Naofa Boys and Girls Primary Schools, Beaumont.
  • St Brendan’s and St Mark’s Primary Schools, The Glen.
  • North Monastery Secondary School.
  • Coláiste an Spioraid Naoimh, Bishopstown.
  • Nagle Community College, Mahon.

The Bye-laws will come into effect on Wednesday 22nd February. Motorists are asked to observe the lower speed limits in these areas.
