Ongoing Works

  • Henry Street: Footpath & parking restrictions in place from 0800hrs – 1800hrs to facilitate kerb re-alignment as part of the City Centre Public Transport Improvement Scheme (MGOS), no impact on local traffic

  • Sheare's Street: Parking restrictions currently in place to facilitate footpath replacement as part of the City Centre Public Transport Improvement Scheme (MGOS).

  • Grattan Street: Full closure northbound currently in place from the junction of Sheare’s Street to the junction of Peters Street to facilitate re-construction work as part of the City Centre Public Transport Improvement Scheme (MGOS), diversions in place - please see www.transportforcorkcity.ie

  • Glenthorn Drive: Give/Take in operation from 0800hrs – 1800hrs to facilitate installation of ESB ducting (ESB Networks)

  • Half Moon Street: Lane restriction currently in operation to facilitate hoarding installation for repair works to Opera House (Cumnor Construction)

  • South Mall: Parking restrictions in operation from 0600hrs – 0830hrs outside "Electric" to facilitate painting works (Barry Sheahan Painting)

  • Academy Street: Lane restriction in operation from 0530hrs – 1330hrs to facilitate facade repair and re-decoration of No.92 Patricks Street (Complete Property Maintenance Ltd.)

Saturday 23rd September 2017

  • Lower Oliver Plunkett Street: Road closure outbound from 0700hrs – 1100hrs from the junction of Deane Street to the junction of Clontarf Street to facilitate traffic loop repair (Traffic Dept, CCC)

Sunday 24th September 2017

  • The Evening Echo Ladies Mini Marathon; Takes place today and a number of streets will be closed to facilitate the event. Mill Road and Marina Walk will close at 1100hrs. Albert Quay East, Victoria Road & Centre Park Road will close at 1200hrs. The Marina, Church Road, Beaumont Drive, Churchyard Lane, Temple Hill, Castle Road and Blackrock Road (from Richmond Estate to Castle Road) will close at 1230hrs. Monahan’s Road will close at 1245hrs. The Event should finish at approx 1500hrs.

Monday 25th September 2017

  • Woods Street: Full closure in place this morning from 0730hrs from the junction of Lynch’s Street to the junction of Sheares Street to facilitate junction upgrade at Sheares Street/Dyke Parade/Woods Street as part of the City Centre Public Transport Improvement Scheme (MGOS), local access for residents and businesses will be maintained

  • Pine Street: Lane & parking restrictions in place from 0930hrs – 1600hrs to facilitate duct installation, access/egress to Carroll’s Quay Car park will be maintained (Virgin Media Ireland)

  • Penrose Quay & Patricks Quay: Lane restrictions in operation from 2000hrs – 0600hrs to facilitate repair of damaged manhole covers as part of Kent Station Phase 2 works (MGOS), expect delays

  • Carrigrohane Road: Lane restriction in operation from 0930hrs – 1600hrs near the junction with Victoria Cross to facilitate site investigation works (MGOS), delays expected

  • Ballinlough Road (Cogan’s Cottages): Parking restrictions in place from 0930hrs – 1800hrs to facilitate duct installation (Virgin Media Ireland)

  • Pouladuff Flyover: Stop/Go in place from 2100hrs – 0600hrs to facilitate repair works to expansion joints (Lydon)

  • Woods Street: Full closure currently in place from the junction of Lynch’s Street to the junction of Sheares Street to facilitate junction upgrade at Sheares Street/Dyke Parade/Woods Street as part of CCPTI

  • Pine Street: Lane & parking restrictions in place from 0930hrs – 1600hrs to facilitate duct installation, access/egress to Carroll’s Quay Car park will be maintained (Virgin Media Ireland)

  • Penrose Quay & Patricks Quay: Lane restrictions in operation from 2000hrs – 0600hrs to facilitate repair of damaged manhole covers as part of Kent Station Phase 2 works (MGOS), expect delays

  • Andersons Quay: Traffic lights out of operation from 2000hrs – 2330hrs at both the junctions with Parnell Place & Brian Boru Bridge/Clontarf Street to facilitate mains replacement (Traffic Dept, CCC)

  • Friar Street: Full road closure in place from 0930hrs – 1600hrs from the junction of Mount Sion Road to the junction of Tower Street to facilitate cover replacement (KN networks on behalf of Eir), local diversion in place

  • Sundays Well Road: Inbound closure in place from 1930hrs – 0600hrs from the junction of Convent Avenue to the junction of Sundays Well Avenue to facilitate new domestic ESB connection (DW Utilities), diversion in place

  • Carrigrohane Road: Lane restriction in operation from 0930hrs – 1600hrs near the junction with Victoria Cross to facilitate site investigation works (MGOS), delays expected

  • Victoria Cross Road: Lane restriction in operation from 0930hrs – 1600hrs near the junction with Orchard Road to facilitate site investigation works (MGOS)

  • Ballinlough Road (Cogan’s Cottages): Parking restrictions in place from 0930hrs – 1800hrs to facilitate duct installation (Virgin Media Ireland)

  • Cross Douglas Road: Full road closure in place from 0930hrs – 1600hrs from the junction of Douglas Road to the junction of Loreto Park to facilitate cover replacement (KN networks on behalf of Eir), local diversion in place

  • Togher Road: Stop/Go in operation from 0930hrs – 1600hrs to facilitate gas installation works (BBCLG on behalf of GNI)

  • Curraheen Road: Stop/Go in operation from 1930hrs – 2330hrs near the entrance to Dunnes Stores to facilitate watermain repair (Water Dept, CCC)

  • Pouladuff Flyover: Stop/Go in place from 2100hrs – 0600hrs to facilitate repair works to expansion joints (Lydon)

  • Centre Park Road: Lane restriction in place from 0930hrs – 1300hrs at the junction with the Link Road to facilitate tree removal (Parks Dept, CCC)

Friday 29th September 2017

  • Woods Street: Full closure in place until 1800hrs this evening from the junction of Lynch’s Street to the junction of Sheares Street to facilitate junction upgrade at Sheares Street/Dyke Parade/Woods Street as part of CCPTI

  • Pine Street: Lane & parking restrictions in place from 0930hrs – 1600hrs to facilitate duct installation, access/egress to Carroll’s Quay Car park will be maintained (Virgin Media Ireland)

  • Brian Boru Street: Laneway closure & Cycle track closure in place from 0930hrs – 1800hrs to facilitate site investigation works (MGOS)

  • Lavitt’s Quay & Christy Ring Bridge: Lane restrictions in place from 0930hrs this morning to facilitate truck setup for event at the Opera House. These restrictions will remain in place until early Saturday morning 30th September, possible delays expected

  • North Main Street: Footpath (western) closure in place from 0600hrs this morning from the junction of Adelaide Street to the junction of Bachelors Quay to facilitate ESB works (DW Utilities on behalf of ESB
